A Simulation of Presidential Decision Making

 

This simulation asks students to step into the Oval Office, experience the different pressures to act or not to act, determine how to address the public, and ultimately make their determination of what a responsible use of the veto power is for them, all while keeping their presidential legacy in mind.

 

Playing Politics:

Utilizing Simulations to Expose Students to Factors that Shape Congressional Decision-Making

 

This Congressional simulation allows students the opportunity to act as members of Congress on an ad hoc House committee to address a timely policy issue. During the simulation, students experience the variety of pressures members of Congress face when making decisions including public support, interest group pressure, and party politics.
